Deliberately misaligned. Still precise.

Our robotic demonstrator mounts the code disc deliberately off-center — visible wobble, no precision fixturing, no calibration file. PreciSen™ learns and cancels the mount's geometry in real time, continuously while the axis runs — immediate convergence in Advanced mode, never replayed from a stored calibration.

Measured live on the PreciSen™ robotic demonstrator (24-bit unit): 3.0° mounting error with above-90% worst-frame contamination — simultaneously — compensated to 0.009–0.018° across different speeds.

Category-level comparison — incumbent characteristics vary by vendor and grade. PreciSen™ figures as demonstrated on the robotic demonstrator.

Dynamic Compensation

On-chip processing automatically removes errors from mounting, runout, and dynamic loading in real time — targeting 0.01° residual error. No precision fixturing, no factory calibration, no external reference required.

Contamination Immunity

Full functionality maintained under massive real-world contamination — above 90% of the optical field of view obstructed without losing the angle output. Oil, grease, and heavy markings are irrelevant.

Extreme Mechanical Tolerance

±2.5 mm radial/axial offset and ±5° tilt & twist — no precision fixturing or factory calibration required. Ideal for imprecise mounting and high-vibration dynamic environments.

Maximum Integration & Performance

Low BOM cost thanks to high level of ASIC integration and patented processing. Sampling rates fully compliant with the demanding requirements of robotic applications. SPI, I²C, BiSS, SSI interfaces built in.

Ready for Your Application

Firmware-programmable and highly adaptable, PreciSen™ fits a broad range of applications out of the box — and can be fine-tuned to your specific requirements with minimal effort.

Seamless Integration

Drop PreciSen™ into your actuator stack with straightforward mechanical mounting, optical alignment, and firmware configuration — no custom silicon or lengthy NRE cycles required.

Application-Specific Tuning

Higher speed for a hip joint, finer resolution for a hand, or multi-turn for a torso? Firmware programmability lets you tailor performance to each use case without hardware changes.
